Last Show of the Season

The last show of 2015 is almost upon us, and the committee would like to thank everyone who has supported Lloc & District Riding Club Show throughout the year. We got off to a bumpy start with all the horrid weather, but thankfully we did manage to get some nice days in there too!

If you won any trophies at last year’s presentation night, please remember to return them at the last show on 13th September.

For the final show of the season there will also be a Fun Dog Show, with the following classes:

1. Cutest puppy
2. Prettiest bitch
3. Handsomest dog
4. Best working dog
5. Waggiest tail
6. Best terrier type
7. Best trick
8. Best veteran over 10 years
9. Best child handler
10. Agility

Classes are £1.50 to enter on the day.

And there will be a Mounted Fancy Dress competition, so get your glad rags out and dress your ponies up!

And just for a bit of fun, here’s our Chairman Elfed who was President of the Denbigh & Flint Show this year.

The 2015 Membership Form is now available to download. You still have 13 days left to get the reduced membership rate.

Unfortunately we can no longer accept payments online through PayPal.

Presentation Night

Thanks to everyone who has been involved in Lloc Show this year: committee members, judges, stewards, catering, photographers, spectators, and of course, competitors!

The 2014 season is now finished, but we still have Presentation Night to look forward to. This year it is being held on 15th November at Faenol Fawr, Bodelwyddan. Please contact us if you would like tickets.

Thanks to everyone who returned trophies at the last show. If you still need to return a trophy, please do so as soon as possible.

Show Cancelled

This Sunday’s show has been cancelled due to the weather. Please pass the message on.

There is an indoor show at Ned’s on Anglesey if anyone fancies that instead, but I do not have details about it.

The 2014 schedule and membership form are now on the website. Don’t worry if you’ve already filled in and returned a 2013 membership form though!

Showing Native Breeds

Less than 4 weeks to go to the first Lloc Show of 2014! Get your membership forms in quickly to save £5, or join online.

We have received an enquiry through the Facebook page about trimming or clipping of native breeds for showing classes.

There are good resources available online to provide you with rules and guidelines for showing different breeds (because it would be too easy to have them all follow the same rules!):

• Native Ponies Online (please note British Spotted Pony and Eriskay Pony are blank)
• Hamlets House (hover over Breed Info in top menu, then Native Pony Breeds, or Other Breeds & Types)

There are ringcraft guidelines available on this website as a PDF download, and I will try to collate more information from other resources in the coming weeks.
