We have received an enquiry through the Facebook page about trimming or clipping of native breeds for showing classes.

There are good resources available online to provide you with rules and guidelines for showing different breeds (because it would be too easy to have them all follow the same rules!):

  • Native Ponies Online (please note British Spotted Pony and Eriskay Pony are blank)
  • Hamlets House (hover over Breed Info in top menu, then Native Pony Breeds, or Other Breeds & Types)

There are ringcraft guidelines available on this website as a PDF download, and I will try to collate more information from other resources in the coming weeks.

      Hi Nicola, yes you will receive confirmation. If you have not received your membership number by the time of the first show, just go the entries caravan and they will be able to tell you what it is. Thanks.
